How to avoid getting your answers rejected?

Given below are main reasons for which we reject the answers posted on QsAns:

  1. Incorrect spellings or Grammar: Poor language skills are a big turnoff and none wants to read a badly written copy, so we have little option but to discard it.
  2. Too Short or Incomplete Answers: The minimum requirement for an answer length is 300 words and if it is any less, it might get rejected.
  3. Vague Answer: The answer is off the topic and does little to answer the question.
  4. Forced Links: Adding links to the answer just to divert traffic off QsAns to business website without adding any value to QsAns.
  5. Copy Paste Answers: Answers which lack originality and are posted by scrapping content off the internet are deleted.
  6. Self Promotion: So you posted a question ” which is the best restaurant in Indiana?” and the next thing you do is to respond to it by adding your business details as the answer.
  7. Repeat Answers: If we find same content posted across a number of questions, we remove it.
  8. Spam: posting repeat questions or content related to promoting gambling, violence, racism, porn, drugs, etc are not allowed on QsAns.

All of these Issues can be avoided by reading the posting guidelines: https://qsans.com/how-to-write-an-answer/

How to write a question?

QsAns requires correct spelling, punctuation, grammar and capitalization to be used in questions. A question should consist of complete sentence and end in a question mark. Most importantly  a question should contain enough information for meaningful answers to be posted.

Here are a few guidelines:

      • Questions should be written as simply as possible.
      • When a question can be phrased in different ways, the best version is the one that is simplest and most commonly asked.
      • Questions should be written in proper English and in the most general form possible that retains clarity and intent.
      • Questions should be free of spelling, grammatical and other writing errors; and they should avoid terms, phrases and presumptions that may sound offending to individuals or groups.
      • A question should be phrased as a sincere attempt to gain knowledge from others, not an attempt to promote the question writer’s own opinions.
      • Once posted the questions are “owned” by the entire community, not just the question writer. Questions should also not be directed at a particular person only to answer.
      • The category and tags should be correctly relevant to the question.

Spam – On QsAns, spam is define as one or more questions or answers, whose purpose appears to be to direct traffic to external commercial sites while providing little to no value back to the QsAns community. We do not allow such content.
