LDAP server
You use LDAP server in enterprises to store credentials and groups of users. Then you can share them between applications. A new technology adapter is introduced by Oracle SOA Suite 12c.

Let me give you a fast and easy way to install an LDAP server and browser (ApacheDS and Apache Directory Studio) in this post. I will also explain the configuration needed to use the LDAP Adapter and include an example of a BPEL process that enables new users to be generated in the ApacheDS LDAP server via web service calls.

Installing a LDAP Server
Let us use ApacheDS as LDAP server for this example, and Apache Directory Studio as LDAP browser for that. Apache Directory Studio is first downloaded and installed from http:/directory.apache.org/studio/. Next create a server with LDAP. Tap the tab in the bottom left corner of the LDAP screen and click on New Tab.
